Surgery is a branch of clinical medicine that deals with the study and treatment of diseases that need to be treated by hand surgery and the use of mechanical means (instruments). Operational surgery can be divided by treatment approach into four groups:

• reparation of wounds,
• Extrusion of diseased parts or whole tissues and organs,
• reconstructive surgery and
• Physiological surgery.

In order to achieve successful work, in addition to manual skills for a surgeon, it is necessary to have a wide medical education, as well as knowledge of techniques and technology. Due to the progress of surgery and the increasing scope of knowledge and development of numerous operational techniques, and with the aim of providing better medical services to patients, surgeons are becoming increasingly specialized, thus developing new surgical disciplines or their subdisciplines.
